According to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), the exams will take place from August 8-10 as approved by the ministry early this year due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
At the meeting on July 27, the MoET said that it will direct localities to classify candidates according to the level of risk from the pandemic, arranging exam rooms to ensure safety for candidates.
The ministry also asked localities to regularly review and update the health status of all candidates to timely address arising problems.
Candidates will gather at the exam sites on August 8 to complete exam procedures and take the exams on August 9 and 10.
The exam results will be used to decide whether candidates are qualified for high school graduation and also as a criterion for admission to higher education institutes.
