The programme, which has been held annually for the past two decades, is among the activities celebrating the 68th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27).
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen hailed that the enthusiastic participation of health workers in this programme has a significant meaning as they donated blood to their patients.
He stressed that receiving blood from healthcare workers provides a great source of encouragement for the patients.
He took the occasion to praise the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers and the union members for their contributions to the protection of people’s health.
