The testing device uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect biochemical changes in the breath to detect the COVID-19 virus, giving results in less than a minute with an accuracy rate of over 90%.
In response to the Prime Minister's call to apply technology to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Vingroup successfully negotiated with Breathonix Company based in Singapore, the first manufacturer of the COVID-19 breath test devices in the world, in order to bring the device to Vietnam from now until the end of August 2021.
Addressing the presentation ceremony, Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long lauded and thanked Vingroup for its support for the health sector in its fight against the pandemic over the past two years.
*Amid the outbreak of the pandemic, nearly 100 students from the Faculty of Medicine at the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City have volunteered to go to the front line to join efforts against the pandemic.
In addition, the Faculty of Medicine has also established two quick response teams of 30 lecturer – doctors and students to stand ready to relocate to pandemic-hit areas.
* Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son on June 4 inspected the COVID-19 vaccination for workers in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province.
The district has been allocated 11,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. So far, 5,500 workers have been injected and vaccinations are expected to be completed on June 5.
* An additional 80 domestic COVID-19 cases were reported in Vietnam over the past six hours to 12pm on June 4, raising the total number of patients to 8,195, according to the Ministry of Health.
Of the new cases, 44 were detected in Bac Giang province, 23 in Bac Ninh province, 11 in Ho Chi Minh City, and two in Hanoi.
