HCMC’s banks support businesses with preferential loans

In the conference to review the Bank-Enterprise Connectivity Programme held on January 8 in HCM City, the State Bank of Vietnam representative agreed to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in production and supporting industries in this year's programme.

Accordingly, banks also pledged a short-term VND interest rate of 7 percent per year, and a long-term rate ranging from 8-10 percent per year. After four years of implementation, the Bank-Enterprise Connectivity Programme has shown positive results. In 2015, the city’s banks had committed over 7.6 billion USD under the programme to support businesses, 3 times above the yearly target.
