Rapid urbanization and population growth have created many challenges in terms of planning and social development though. Hanoi has set out a plan to develop a smart city model in order to solve these challenges and to promote a better living environment for all of its residents.
The goal of smart city development requires strategic and step-by-step planning to develop and improve the quality of life for Hanoi's residents. Experts also believe that the application of new technology from the 4th industrial revolution could be a viable solution to facilitate smart city development in Hanoi.
