In the period 2016-2020, the city expects to have 350 schools meeting national education standards, including both newly-built and upgraded schools. Over the past five years, the capital city's education sector has fulfilled its target of recognising 45 per cent of the schools as meeting national education standards. The plan to build and upgrade kindergartens and high schools to meet national standards has become a priority for the city’s education department.
