Tùng Books is among the popular bookstores in Hanoi, with over 20 years of business in trading old books. On this occasion, Tùng books displays nearly 20 thousands books for reading enthusiasts.
Nguyen Dinh Tung, Owner, Tung Books said: I’m very excited as I can introduce books from my store to the readers. I can also see that many young people are interested in books that were published a very long time ago.
The festival drew the participation of thousands of readers at many ages. Many of them have found their favourite books.
"Coming here, I can find classic books with lower prices compared to new books. I can also find good books which are no longer published", said Ngo Thi Hong Hanh, Student, Hanoi.
Le Huynh Khanh Linh, Ho Chi Minh City said: It is my hobby to read the old genres of literature. This time I have collected a lot of books, including the Godfather, and travelling books.
Many parents bring their children to the festival, hoping to nurture their love for books. "I want my kids to come here to have more inspiration for reading. They can see this large world of books and they can choose whichever one they want", Dao Thi Thuan, Hanoi said.
Since its inception in 2012, the event has become a festival for book lovers. The organisers also hope to put on more events like this, with an aim to spread the love for books.
