VTV.vn - Hanoi Chairman Tran Sy Thanh has affirmed that the capital city’s authorities will always listen to feedback from the business community and take actions to deal with the obstacles facing them.

Thanh made the statement during a dialogue between the city and enterprises held on December 14.

At the conference, officials from Hanoi’s tax, customs, trade, industry and investment agencies directly answered the questions of the business community, while representatives of commercial banks also responded to queries on loans and interest rates.

Thanh said the issues under the city’s jurisdiction will be resolved by its agencies, while those exceeding its authority will be reported to the central government for appropriate solutions.

He informed that from January next year, Hanoi will grant greater autonomy to the agencies under the municipal government to make administrative reform and the simplification of procedures more effective.

Over the past year, the capital city’s government has held various meetings and dialogues with enterprises and has taken a wide range of measures to support and facilitate their business activities.

Thanks to that, the number of newly established enterprises in Hanoi has surged by 25% from last year to 30,000, raising the total number of companies registered in the capital city to 351,000.

The number of enterprises returning to business also rose 2.4% from last year.
