VTV.vn - According to the Hanoi Capital City Special High Command, heavy downpours have caused wall railings to collapse, leaving one dead and five injured in Đại Thắng Commune, Phú Xuyên District.

Heavy rains triggered by Typhoon Mirinae, the first to hit Vietnam this storm season, have also felled trees and brought traffic to a halt on many roads in the capital city. All casualties were caused by trees falling onto passing vehicles. Many people on motorcycles were also knocked down by strong winds. Emergency squads have been dispatched to clean up numerous fallen trees.
