VTV.vn - Chairman of thec Hanoi municipal People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh on late July 23 signed Directive No. 17/CT-UBND on the implementation of social distancing to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic in the city.

The directive states that the risk of pandemic spread in the area is great if drastic measures are not promptly taken as the pandemic is developing in a complicated manner in the capital city and other localities nationwide, particularly the spread of the Delta virus strain and the detection of new cases in the community with unidentified sources of infection.

The Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People's Committee issued Directive No. 17 to implement social distancing for 15 days from 6 am on July 24 across the city to ensure the safety of the capital city and health of its people.

Under the new social distancing measures, only essential services and production establishments ensuring safety against the pandemic are allowed to open.

People are asked to stay at home and only go out in necessary cases like buying food and medicine, medical treatment, vaccination, business trips, working at essential businesses and emergencies.

People must also strictly keep a distance of at least 2m when communicating and must not gather in groups of more than two people outside of workplace, schools, hospitals and public places.

Hanoi residents are required to submit health declaration forms via the website www.tokhaiyte.vn or Ncovi and Bluezone apps.

Those who have symptoms such as fever, coughing or difficulty breathing must contact local medical establishments for further instructions.

In a case where people travel to the city for public service, pandemic prevention, and production reasons, they must make a medical declaration and comply with medical supervision and quarantine measures according to the city's regulations.

The city authorities asked the people to stay calm and continue to trust and support the measures needed to prevent and control the pandemic. The city has directed the preparation of sufficient food and necessities and people do not need to hoard goods.
