Head of the Central Commission for Information and Education Võ Văn Thưởng and Hanoi Party Secretary Hoàng Trung Hải presented the title of elite citizen for 2018 to ten outstanding citizens.
The list included 100-year-old cultural researcher Nguyễn Hữu Ngọc, athlete Bùi Thu Thảo, who won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games, Assoc. Professor Nguyễn Duy Ánh, director of the Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital, and Vietnamese cuisine culinary artist Phan Thị Tuyết.
Hanoi also rewarded ASIAD 2018 coaches and athletes and awarded Thăng Long Cup for 20 enterprises with excellent achievements in production and contributions to the capital.
