VTV.vn - The Hanoi Esperanto Association (HANEA) organised a ceremony to celebrate its 25th founding anniversary in Hanoi on December 19.

Addressing the ceremony, HANEA President Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai affirmed that since its establishment, thanks to the leadership and support of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations (HAUFO) and the enthusiasm and joint efforts of staff and members, HANEA's activities are increasingly contributing to the joint foreign policy achievements.

Besides, HANEA has actively participated in events launched by HAUFO and online events of the global Esperanto movement; regularly exchange information about movement activities in the country, region and around the world to promote the image of Hanoi capital and Vietnam to friends at home and abroad through the Esperanto channel.

At the ceremony, the representatives of HANEA also reviewed the traditional history of HANEA with members, its activities in 2021 and information about Zamenhof Day (December 15).

HAUFO Standing Vice President Tran Thi Phuong also highly appreciated HANEA's initiative in organising the "Hanoi Esperanto Association and I" contest on the occasion of the HANEA's 25th anniversary, and believed that HANEA would continue actively contributing in peace and friendship activities and in the development and propagation of Esperanto to the people of the capital.

At the ceremony, the representative of HANEA announced the results and awarded prizes to the branches and contestants of the "Hanoi Esperanto Association and I" contest. Representatives of HAUFO and HANEA also awarded prizes to collectives and individuals to recognise their contributions to HANEA's activities, contributing to promoting the learning movements, promoting Esperanto in the capital, and thereby bringing the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.
