Earlier, on the night of April 1, under a direction from the Prime Minister and the municipal People's Committee, the Hanoi Police and local authorities established 30 quarantine posts to monitor disease prevention and social distancing at gateways leading to the capital.
The posts were tasked to measure body temperature and inspect any signs of COVID-19 on every citizen coming in and out of the city. Functional forces also patrolled and supervised to ensure traffic order, while also mobilising people to strictly implement social distancing measures.
After nearly one month, thousands of people and vehicles were inspected at the posts, with the medical examination carried out in less than one minute for each turn in order to not cause inconvenience for people.
By 1:15 pm this afternoon, the city authorities completed the cleanup of all canvases, security fences, signs and specialised equipment at the 30 quarantine posts.
