Hai Duong quarantines 18 cases related to COVID-19 case in Japan

VTV.vn - A female worker from Chi Linh city in the northern province of Hai Duong was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 when she left for Japan.

Hai Duong’s functional forces reviewed and quarantined 18 F1 cases; while at the same time, implementing disinfection measures, and zoning off the areas related to this case.

According to initial information, N.T.G (born in 1989) is from Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province. When checking in at the Japanese airport, the female worker was sampled and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Immediately after receiving this information from Japan, the functional forces of Hai Duong province urgently zoned, quarantined and strengthened disease prevention measures.

A representative of the Hai Duong provincial Centre for Disease Control said that the unit has investigated the epidemiology of all cases having close contact with this woman. Accordingly, 18 F1 cases are being quarantined at a medical centre.

Hai Duong provincial authorities also set up 13 blocking posts, blockaded 1 village in Hung Dao commune, Chi Linh city, where N.T.G fellow workers lived before travelling to Japan. It is known that before leaving for Japan, she tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 in Vietnam.
