Accordingly, the Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee requested the establishment of a higher level of medical isolation throughout the city with drastic measures to stamp out the epidemic.
The city continues to accelerate the deployment of concentrated isolation areas to be ready to receive and provide medical isolation for people from epidemic areas, while strengthening inspections at concentrated isolation facilities and in home isolation contextx.
On August 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control said that the city had completed sampling for those returning from Da Nang from July 1. Test results had 51,577 negative cases, six positive cases (the Ministry of Health announced), and 866 cases awaiting test results. Ho Chi Minh City has not detected any new infections from patient contact groups.
Also on August 15, over 200 youth union members in the central province of Phu Yen volunteered to go to markets, supermarkets and neighborhoods in Tuy Hoa city to encourage people to download and use the Bluezone and NCOVI mobile apps.
The smartphone app Bluezone relies on a Bluetooth signal to log when two users are near each other, information that can later be used for contact tracing of COVID-19 cases.
The app is now available on the Google Play Store and the App Store. The development of Bluezone has beenoverseen by the MIC and the Ministry of Health. It was launched on April 18.
