According to local authorities, 7 districts, towns and cities in Ha Tinh affected by the marine pollution disaster completed the first phase payment of compensation and are now implementing the 2nd phase. Remaining compensation has yet to be allocated because of the absence of some people abroad. The government has directed four central provinces to complete compensation to affected residents by June.
