The four children are siblings, the oldest is 14 while the youngest is nine. Since their parents died from drowning on the way to work on May 13, the children are now living at the provincial social service centre.
Colonel Phan Huy Ngoc conveyed the sympathy and words of comfort of Minister of Public Security General To Lam to the siblings and their family members for their loss. On behalf of the Minister, he handed over VND50 million, donated by the Minister to contribute to the construction of a house for the children, to the authorities of Mau Due Commune.
He also encouraged them to promote solidarity and strive to rise about the difficulties.
Secretary Yen Minh District Party’s Committee Ngo Xuan Nam extended his thanks to Minister To Lam and leaders of Ha Giang Province’s public security force for the support. He also pledged that the local authorities will take care of the siblings so that they can live with the love and care of the community.
