The festival will feature traditional music and instrument performances, cultural exhibitions, a street festival, local food showcases and displays of tourism products. A major highlight will be the Gong Festival gala, scheduled for November 7 at Dai Doan Ket Square in Pleiku and to be broadcast live on VTV8.
The event will bring together 1,487 artisans and performers, including members of 29 gong ensembles from Gia Lai and participants from 10 other provinces and cities.
The festival aims to celebrate the UNESCO-recognised cultural space of Central Highlands gongs while promoting Gia Lai's cultural heritage, natural beauty and tourism potential.
