Based in the US, prestigious music magazine Billboard has ranked Vietnamese song “Ghen Co Vy” among its 10 novel coronavirus songs (COVID-19) which will bring a degree of humour to listeners amid the global panic that surrounds the pandemic.

This follows the US magazine publishing an article titled “These 10 Coronavirus Songs Bring Some Levity to the Global Panic”, in which the Vietnamese song “Ghen Co Vy” ranks second following it going viral after being played on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

The article states, “By now you've probably seen the dancing viruses in the Vietnamese Health Department's "Jealous Coronavirus" cartoon, which mixes humour and good information with steps on how to stop the march of the disease that is spread through droplets in the air produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.”

The hit was first composed by Khac Hung with pop stars Min and Erik performing the track which urges people to stop the spread of the COVID-19 through maintaining high levels of hygiene.

The song features an animated music video which depicts funny images of the virus whilst people wear masks and wash their hands.
