FTV shoots I Love Mui Ne fashion show

VTV.vn - The fashion show I Love Mui Ne organised by designer Vo Viet Chung was filmed on September 12 by international Fashion TV (FTV) at Sunny Villa Mui Ne in Phan Thiet city, t

The event featured the designer's three collections, Hello New York, Sakura and Vuong Trieu (Royal Court), in traditional Vietnamese silk and cotton.

The catwalk included more than 20 fashion models, including top faces like Dieu Han, Nguyen Sieu Quynh Chi and Kim Nguyen.

In 2007, Chung was invited to display his collection on the Mega-F Diamond Cruise Ship chartered by FTV channel when the five-star cruise arrived at Ho Chi Minh City 's Nha Rong Wharf .

FTV's top models wore his designs on the catwalk. Chung later signed an exclusive contract with FTV to introduce his products on the channel.

I Love Mui Ne will be broadcast on FTV later this year.

Beginning his career in 1995, Chung took part in a two-year training course in Italy and Denmark , funded by the Europe Fashion Federation in 2005.

He displayed his designs on the stage of the Noa Noa Fashion Company and received an enthusiastic response from experts and audiences in Italy .

After training, Noa Noa offered him a job but he turned it down to return to Vietnam.

"I hope to add my city [ Ho Chi Minh City ] to the list of fashion meccas like Paris , Rome and Japan ," Chung revealed his ambitions.

In 2008, Chung signed an official contract with the Miss Universe Organisation to design ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) for 85 contestants in the 2008 Miss Universe contest, which was organised in Vietnam’s Nha Trang city.

He has introduced traditional Vietnamese satins and silks, including Lanh My A, a kind of satin that has been popular for hundreds of years in Dong Thap province's Hong Ngu district.

He has shown his collections at fashion shows throughout the country and in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Paris , and has designed clothes for local film and pop stars.

His shop in Ly Tu Trong Street offers clothes in elegant and eye-catching styles, with prices ranging from US$50 to over US$1,000.
