Normally, for fresh Vietnamese fruits to enter the U.S market, packed products are shipped to Sơn Sơn Irradiation Factory in HCMC, which is recognized by the U.S Department of Agriculture, so that they can be checked and quarantined.
However, as US staff have returned home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the plant quarantine process couldn't continue, leading to the delay of fruit exports.
Fruit export enterprises want the authorities to resolve the problem quickly because if this situation persists, many businesses along with gardens and farms will be heavily affected.
