VTV.vn - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) Phan Van Anh visited and encouraged a delegation from Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi that was departing to support Ho Chi Minh City in the COVID-19 prevention and control.

So far, Bach Mai Hospital has sent five delegations of experts to support localities in the fight against COVID-19.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the hospital has provided two teams with a total of 445 medical staff. This time in particular, 170 doctors and nurses from many departments and rooms in the hospital joined the volunteer team.

At the farewell ceremony, VGCL Phan Van Anh presented VND200 million to the team and VND1 billion to each of the health workers.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Health Trade Union also presented many gifts to the delegation and sent VND50 million to the medical staff of Bach Mai Hospital.

Over 400 officers and soldiers from the Military High Command of the southern province of Dong Nai joined an anti-epidemic campaign on August 18.

It also sent 5,000 officers and soldiers to participate in more than 1,000 teams and checkpoints in the province and join other forces to help people during the new COVID-19 outbreak.

In addition, the Military High Command also mobilised VND16 billion from organisations and businesses to support the epidemic prevention and control work.
