French director finds his missing part through documentaries

Born in Vietnam from a French father and a Vietnamese mother, he came to France in 1975, after the end of the resistance war against the French colonist. Leaving Vietnam from the age of 11, Philippe Rostan's always hopes to find out more about Vietnam, a part of him. Among the documentaries he has made, there are 5 documentaries about Vietnam, where he was born and raised during his childhood. This is one way for him to find out about the missing part, learn more about the country and culture of his mother and help other French-Vietnamese people like him understand more about themselves.
