The UN Day of Vesak 2019 will be organised at the Tam Chuc Buddhist Cultural Complex in Ba Sao town, in Ha Nam’s Kim Bang district, from May 12 to 14.
VNAT said that the event is an opportunity for Vietnam to promote the image of the country and people as well as its potential for tourism development. For that reason, the organising committee has prepared free tours for international delegates who travel to the celebrations.
Accordingly, the organisers are offering a total of five tours for international guests and delegates attending the festival, in which, there are three for free and two paid tours. After the closing ceremony, the organisers will arrange three free tours, including Trang An - Bai Dinh tour (Ninh Binh province), Yen Tu tour (Quang Ninh province) and Fansipan Peak - Sapa tour (Lao Cai province).
The two on-demand tours are sightseeing tours of Hanoi and Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh.
On the occasion, local travel agencies have started pilgrimage tours to Tam Chuc - Ha Nam and neighbouring provinces for Buddhists and visitors. In particular, Vietravel was entrusted by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to cover logistics work for the event for the third time. During the celebrations, Vietravel will undertake and administer all promotional activities, and coordinate transportation, accommodation and air ticket services.
The VNAT has sent documents to the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam and Lao Cai and the Tourism Departments of Hanoi and Quang Ninh, as well as local travel agencies and hotels, urging for coordination activities and to create favourable conditions for delegates to attend the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
