The event was jointly organised by Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee and the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment Communication, attracting the participation of more than 250 delegates.
In his opening speech, Professor, Dr Tran Hong Thai, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, said that Lam Dong has many potentials and strengths compared to other localities in the region, such as favourable natural conditions, rich and unique tourism resources, diverse ethnic culture, synchronous and modern infrastructure, and more. They have brought the province many advantages to develop green and circular economy. With a forest coverage rate of 54.37%, the province has great potential to participate in the carbon credit market.
At the forum, managers, experts, scientists, and investors shared the contents related to resources, methods, and solutions to promote the transformation process as well as opportunities for investors in green transformation projects of Lam Dong Province.
Delegates also suggested green institutions, financial resources for green growth and sustainable development, and forest development towards Net-Zero 2050 as well as solutions to improve livelihoods for local ethnic communities.
The forum held two sessions to discuss the planning and orientation of green transformation, high-tech agriculture, resources, and models for sustainable development towards Net Zero 2050 as well as opportunities for investors.
