Foreign prisoners offered holidays

VTV.vn - December 2nd marked the 40th anniversary of Lao National Day. For the first time, thanks to a new decree last week, foreign prisoners in Vietnam will be able to enjoy their national day behind the bars.

The new Decree 90/2015 which took effect last week, means that foreign inmates in Vietnam will be given a day ‘off’ for a ‘National Day’ and one day off for a traditional holiday in addition to Vietnamese holidays. The new regulation took effect on November 27^th 2015.
