Over 200 flood-proof houses built in 2013 were 100% intact and able to sustain the effects of natural disasters over recent years. The flood-proof project proved to be highly effective against floods and heavy rains. Local authorities are planning to replicate this model to rebuild homes for families who've lost their homes to storms. The flood-proof housing model will be adjusted to suit different terrains and weather conditions. Moreover, local citizens in affected areas will receive more training in dealing with natural disasters.
