Storm Kirogi will keep getting stronger as it moves towards the mainland. That's why fishing vessels in localities from Phu Yen to Ba Ria Vung Tau Provinces have been banned from going out to sea. This was an order from the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control this morning.
Currently, more than 200 vessels and 2800 fishermen are working in the danger zones. Efforts are being taken to make vessels move away from the sea area stretching from the 9th to the 13th parallels. Vessels are being warned against moving towards the shore where the storm is heading to. The steering committee also required the evacuation of people along the central coast to be done strictly, especially residents in seafood farming rafts.
