The Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will continue collecting opinions from businesses and associations to improve the draft.
The two ministries pledged that the standards, after being modified, will be in line with Vietnam's situation and international standards and ensure benefits for consumers and businesses. The delay of the new standards resulted from strong reactions from traditional fish sauce producers and scientists because of unclear classifications and definitions of types of fish sauce.
