First Vietnamese goodwill ambassador for Japanese cherry blossom chosen

Vietnam is the third country to host this competition after Germany and the US.

Tran Dieu Anh, a student from the Vietnam-Japan University has been selected as the first goodwill ambassador for Japanese cherry blossom in 2019 after a competition held in the framework of the Japan cherry blossom festival - Hanoi 2019. 

Pham Ngoc Linh, a flight attendant of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines is the second goodwill ambassador. 

The two ambassadors made their debut at the opening ceremony of the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Hanoi on Friday night at the Ly Thai To Flower Garden.

Held by the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the festival aims to promote the images of the country, culture and people of Japan, and bring Vietnamese and Japanese people closer
