First metro train reaches HCMC

Metro train No. 1 spans a total length of more than 61 m, with a maximum design speed of 110 km/h and 80 km/h (tunnel section).

The train can carry a total of 930 guests, with 147 sitting and 783 standing passengers. The length of Metro Line 1 will be expanded in the future.

To prepare to welcome the first train of metro line 1, the HCMC Urban Railway Management Board has coordinated with contractors to focus on different tasks, including the entry of foreign experts, importing trains, and site preparation.

The train is expected to be transported from Khánh Hội port to Long Binh Depot, District 9 on Oct 10th
