The first batch of Vietnamese milk shipped to China is Vietnamese brand TH Milk Joint Stock Companyincluding pure sterilized fresh milk and sterilized fresh milk added with natural flavours.
Six months after the signing of the Protocol, the General Administration of Customs of China on October 16 officially announced its approval for the import of milk products from Vietnam.
TH Milk Joint Stock Company is the first company eligible to be granted export codes for two groups of dairy products. At the ceremony, TH Milk company signed a contract with its Chinese partner to export first batch of dairy products to Wuxi city.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong emphasised that this is an important event to the Vietnam’s agriculture sector and the milk industry in particular in a bid to promote the exports of high quality agricultural products to potential markets including the Chinese market.
The China’s official approval of imported dairy products from Vietnam demonstrates the development and integration of the Vietnam's dairy industry. Dairy enterprises have built concentrated farm models applying high technology in production and management and ensuring the strict regulations of the Chinese market, Cuong noted.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also suggested the China’s General Administration of Customssoon evaluate and announce the results of dossierassessment for dairy export registration for four Vietnamese dairy companies.
