Fireworks to celebrate the 44th Reunification Day
VTV.vn - Last night, fireworks were launched in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the nation’s Reunification Day (April 30) and the 133rd anniversary of Labor Day (May 1).

There were two high-altitude firework displays: one over the Thu Thiem Tunnel that links Districts 1 and 2, and another at the 81-storey building Landmark 81 in Binh Thanh District. A low-altitude display took place at the Dam Sen Park in District 11. Thousands of people gathered at Bach Dang Park on Ton Duc Thang Street in District 1 and along the banks of the Saigon River to enjoy the fireworks.

Activities celebrate the 44th Reunificationd Day

A special event to celebrate the 44th anniversary of Vietnam’s Reunification Day also took place last night in Dak Lak province. The program featured many songs and dances praising the love of the homeland and the revolutionary spirit of the Central Highlands ethnic people.

The program reviewed historical milestones of the fight for the country’s reunification and the efforts to build a more developed Vietnam.
