As the African swine fever outbreak spreads throughout Vietnam, there has been no vaccine or antidote, so the most effective and important preventive measure is to ensure biosafety in husbandry. Unfortunately, fake information about a veterinary company producing and selling medicine for African swine fever is being spread on Facebook.
Experts have confirmed that this information is fake. The owner of the fanpage publicizing that fake information was asked to be present at the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information for further investigation.
Prior to that, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also asked the Ministry of Information and Communications to fine some people that posted untrue news about the African swine fever outbreak.
