To mark the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Courts (September 13, 1945 - September 13, 2026) and the 56th anniversary of Vietnam Television (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2026), the Supreme People’s Court and Vietnam Television have signed a coordination programme for the 2026-2030 period. The agreement aims to further strengthen information and communications efforts in the new period while deepening cooperation between the two institutions, whose Party committees are both under the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies.
Based on their respective functions and responsibilities, the coordination programme follows the directions set out in the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress on judicial affairs and communications. It will also continue implementing communications activities in line with Plan No. 38-KH/CCTP dated August 15, 2014, of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform. Meanwhile, Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW dated November 9, 2022, adopted at the sixth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee, calls for continued efforts to build and improve the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam in the new period.
The programme establishes an important framework for regular, close, effective and substantive cooperation between the two institutions. Their relevant units will coordinate to produce political and current affairs programmes, educational and legal awareness content, entertainment programmes, television dramas, and other formats to provide broader coverage of the People’s Court system, including judicial reform, digital transformation, and major priorities and breakthrough tasks for the 2026-2030 period.
During implementation, the Supreme People’s Court will direct its agencies and affiliated units to facilitate VTV journalists’ reporting activities in accordance with the Party’s guidelines, state laws and regulations governing the People’s Court system. It will also provide VTV with information to produce programmes, features, and other content covering notable developments and issues related to the functions and responsibilities of the courts across VTV’s television channels and digital platforms.
In turn, Vietnam Television will support the Supreme People’s Court in strengthening communications on its activities through VTV’s television and digital platforms. VTV will also help provide timely and accurate information when unverified or false claims related to the court sector emerge. VTV will also help provide timely and accurate information in response to unverified or false claims related to the court sector.
A key part of the agreement is the weekly VTV1 programme "Faith in Justice", jointly produced by the Supreme People’s Court and VTV. Each episode will examine judicial issues and notable cases, promote respect for the law and judicial reform, and help audiences better understand the courts and the legal system.
The programme features two main segments: News, covering key court activities and judicial developments, and Special Report, focusing on major legal issues or representative cases while highlighting the role of the People’s Courts in strengthening public confidence in justice.
The 2026-2030 cooperation programme, alongside the launch of Faith in Justice on September 9, 2026, is expected to strengthen public communication on judicial reform and contribute to social stability and national development.
"Faith in Justice" airs at 8:50 p.m. every Wednesday on VTV1, starting September 9.
