Export turnover greatly contributed to national economic development last year despite difficulties and challenges that caused slow global trade, the US-China trade tension, and increased trade protectionism.
In 2019, about 31 items exceeded 1 billion USD in export value. Of those, five items reached over 10 billion USD in value, accounting for nearly 59% of total export turnover.
Notably, the structure of exports continued to improve, with reduced crude oil exports and increased export of processed and industrial products. Vietnamese goods have gained access to most markets in the world and benefited from FTAs.
