Exhibitions recall life and people of President Ho Chi Minh

VTV.vn - An exhibition themed ‘Ho Chi Minh: Life and Career’ opened on Nguyen Van Binh Book Street in Ho Chi Minh City on May 18 to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 130th birthday (1890 – 2020).

Works on display include 130 book titles, 100 documents and images archived by Vietnamese and international friends. They chronicle the life and career of the great leader as well as his ideology, morals and lifestyle.

There are also works penned by Uncle Ho, including ‘Duong Kach Menh’ (Revolutionary Road), ‘Nhat Ky Trong Tu’ (The Prison Diary), his appeal for national resistance, and his testament.

The highlight of the four-day event is an exchange with writer Duong Thanh Truyen and Dr. Nghiem Ky Hong, who both authored books on President Ho.

Meanwhile in Thua Thien Hue province, more than 250 paintings and photos portraying President Ho Chi Minh are being showcased at an exhibition that opened this morning at the provincial Ho Chi Minh Museum.

In Hanoi, the National Library of Vietnam launched an online display to introduce to the public 500 books on the life of President Ho Chi Minh and his contributions to the country. Book lovers can go to the website http://nlv.gov.vn/trien-lam-sach for more information.

Also in Hanoi the same day, the Vietnam National Museum of History in collaboration with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour opened an exhibition entitled ‘President Ho Chi Minh, the working class and Vietnam’s Trade Union’.
