VTV.vn - An exhibition focusing on protest movements against the US’ unjust military actions and war in Vietnam as well as Japan’s support for peace in Vietnam during 1954-1975 and the Vietnam-Japan friendship opened at Thua Thien-Hue Museum of History on March 26.

On display are over 400 photos and documents which convey the message of peace and friendship.

They also highlight the developing and improving Vietnam-US relations through exchanges between the two countries’ peace activists, veterans, and people, alongside the activities undertaken to overcome the consequences of war.

Visitors to the event are offered a chance to learn more about the time-honoured friendship between the Vietnamese and Japanese people.

Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports, said that during the 1954-1975 period, peace-lovers in the world, especially in Japan, joined hands to help the Vietnamese people in their struggle for national independence, both materially and spiritually.
