The exhibition is divided into five parts: AO disaster, AO pain, the consequences of the chemical war in Vietnam, activities of the Vietnam Association for Victims of AO/Dioxin (VAVA) and a program to call for justice of Vietnamese AO victims, examples of AO victims, and Quang Ninh handling AO disaster. The event running through August 14 also showcased handicraft products made by AO victims.
VAVA President Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh explained that the exhibition helps raise public awareness regarding AO disaster in Vietnam and the Party, State and peoples efforts to deal with the consequences of chemical warfare. Organisations and individuals are encouraged to care for AO victims and to join hands to support the struggle for justice for AO victims.
On the occasion, the VAVA presented 20 gifts and 10 wheelchairs to the second generation of AO victims in Quang Ninh, and VND100 million to the provincial VAVA chapter’s fund.
