The displayed photos were taken by Vietnam Cityscape Photos, a group of 12 photographers who were born in Hanoi and live and work in the city, while loving photography and taking creative shots of the capital.
The group was founded in 2012, attracting photographers who are fond of recording diverse views of urban architecture and life.
‘Sword Lake by night’ by Le Ngoc Huy
The exhibited photos were taken from Hanoi’s high buildings or by flying cameras. Such familiar places as West Lake, Sword Lake, Hoang Cau Lake, the Red River, new urban areas of Trung Hoa-Nhan Chinh, Hai Phat, Keangnam, Times City and Royal City and Nhat Tan, Dong Tru, Long Bien, Chuong Duong, Thang Long and Vinh Tuy bridges become different in the photos. Most of them were shot at sunset or when the city was illuminated by lights at night, depicting shimmering and dazzling beauty thanks to exposure techniques. Several photos were taken during storms with distant roiling dark clouds, making people feel small in the face of nature.
‘West Lake at sunset’ by Dao Van Vinh
Bui Hoa Tien from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists said that this was a unique exhibition featuring young people’s creative views, technological supports and new ideas.
‘Nhat Tan Bridge’ by Nguyen Ha Phuong
The exhibition will be open until February 4.
