The opening ceremony saw the presence of Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC), and Head of the PCC Commission for Mass Mobilisation, Truong Thi Mai; and PCC Secretary and President of the VFF Central Committee, Tran Thanh Man.
Addressing the event, VFF Vice President Phung Khanh Tai stressed that throughout nearly nine decades, the VFF has affirmed its operation as a voluntary political coalition of political organisations, socio-political organisations, social organisations and individuals from all classes, social strata, ethnic groups, and religions, including overseas Vietnamese.
Nearly 400 photos on display featured the history, congresses, action plans and activities hosted by the VFF and its members to safeguard the national sovereignty over the seas and islands.
The exhibits also highlight the VFF’s role in promoting the great national solidarity bloc, serving as a bridge linking people from all walks of life at home and abroad with the Party and State.
