The event, co-organised by the Vietnam Film Institute and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, is part of a series of the city’s activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 –2025).
The exhibition introduces the public to more than 300 photos of documents and cinematic works preserved at the Vietnam Film Institute. These images capture historic moments from the 1968 General Offensive and Uprising to the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the Great Spring Victory of 1975.
The exhibition also portrays the vibrant life of Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City before and after national reunification, all through the lens of cinema.
The event aims to highlight the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people in their struggle for national construction and defence, as well as the dynamism of modern life in Ho Chi Minh City today, contributing to patriotism and national pride among the public, especially younger generations.
