Ensuring legal timber sources in public procurement

As a "major customer" in the domestic timber market, the Vietnamese government is responsible for ensuring that wood products are procured with state capital as legal timber.

Recently, the Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Finance to assume the prime responsibility for issuing public procurement policies on legal timber. Ensuring legal timber sources in public procurement will contribute to sustainable forest protection and development.
