Electric vehicles in Vietnam needs policies and infrastructure
VTV.vn - A forum on developing electric vehicles in Vietnam was held this morning. It was organized so that policymakers, researchers, experts, and car producers could find a suitable direction for Vietnam's electric car strategy.

According to estimates made by Goldman Sachs, electric cars will account for 25% of the total number of cars manufactured globally by 2025. The electric car is good for sustainable development and is environmentally-friendly. However, in order for this vehicle to be popular in Vietnam, the infrastructure for electric cars needs to be improved.

Charging stations will have to be built and plants will need to be developed to process battery waste. The forum today also served as a platform to create the Vietnam Electric Automobile Association.
