EC extends REX system for Vietnamese exporters

According to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), only a few enterprises have registered for certificates of origin.

As of June 30, only 2,400 REX codes were registered and are active. The Minstry of Industry and Trade recommended that companies should be updated so that Vietnam can ensure the implementation schedule of the REX system and take advantage of tariff preferences in the EU's Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP).

Companies should get in touch with VCCI promptly to be instructed and register a REX code for themselves.
