Early elections held in Lai Chau, Spratly Islands
VTV.vn - More than 6,000 voters in three border communes in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau, along with voters in the Spratly Island District, cast their ballots on Sunday.
Polling stations stayed open from 7 AM-7 PM, after the fisherman had returned from sea. Order and security were kept at all polling stations. The election was held one week early in these areas due to their special geological and economic conditions.
