Dreams on a nurturing journey
VTV.vn - In celebration of International Children’s Day 2025, SCG, in collaboration with the Disability Research and Ba Ria – Vung Tau School for Children with Disabilities, hosted a special event titled "Dreams on a Nurturing Journey."

The initiative reflects SCG’s 17-year commitment to reducing inequality in education by supporting children with disabilities – a core focus within the company’s Inclusive Green Growth strategy aimed at fostering equity and opportunity for all.

This year’s celebration brought joy and inspiration to 280 students through a vibrant festival and a dedicated capacity-building workshop for 100 hearing-impaired students. These activities underscored SCG’s long-standing mission to reduce educational inequality and empower children with disabilities to reach their full potential.

Since 2009, SCG has been a dedicated partner to the Ba Ria – Vung Tau School for Children with Disabilities, supporting both infrastructure improvements and student development. From upgrading classrooms and providing scholarships to organizing skills training and meaningful annual events, SCG’s efforts have created a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for children with disabilities.

As part of this year’s celebration, SCG and DRD organized a specialized capacity-building program for 100 hearing-impaired students, combining practical digital literacy training with an inspirational sharing session.

The "Online Safety" workshop provided students with essential knowledge to navigate the digital world safely – focusing on personal data protection, online scams, and handling inappropriate content. The session featured real-life scenarios performed by teachers, followed by guided discussions to help students identify risks and make safe choices. With the support of sign language interpreters and visual learning tools, the content was made accessible and engaging for all participants. During the event, many students expressed excitement and pride while taking part in creative activities and engaging with inspirational mentors.

Building on a long-standing partnership, this year’s event once again received warm support from both students and school staff. Over the past 17 years, SCG has provided not only practical assistance but also a great source of inspiration, helping the school sustain and grow its educational programs for children with disabilities.

The 2025 International Children’s Day celebration at Ba Ria – Vung Tau School served not only as a joyful occasion but also as a powerful reminder of what long-term, inclusive partnerships can achieve. For SCG, this is more than a one-day event – it is part of an enduring commitment to support children with disabilities, promote educational equity, and nurture dreams for a brighter, more inclusive future.
