Road to Olympia Mount brought together four contestants, each with their own strengths from previous rounds. Le Viet Khue (Nguyen Hue Specialized High School, Hanoi) won week 1 with 225 points and was the best in the Finish round with 100 accumulated points. Trinh Ba Long (Ly Tu Trong High School, Khanh Hoa) won week 2 with 290 points and achieved the best Speed round performance with 120 points. Mai Hoang Quang (Bim Son High School, Thanh Hoa) won week 3 with 235 points, having cleared the Obstacle with 70 points. Nguyen Vinh Trong (Tien Giang Specialized High School, Dong Thap) joined this competition as the highest-scoring runner-up of the weekly rounds, with 210 points.
In the Warm-up round, all four contestants gave it their all to get off to to the best possible start. Viet Khue and Vinh Trong were neck and neck in a tense battle for points. By the end of the round, the scores were as follows: Vinh Trong (75 points), Viet Khue (70 points), Hoang Quang (40 points), and Ba Long (10 points).
In the Overcome Obstacle round, all three contestants except Ba Long answered the first keyword correctly and earned points. At the second keyword, all four contestants scored and revealed another piece of the puzzle. It was then that Vinh Trong rang the bell to answer the Obstacle, successfully solving it and surging into the lead with 145 points.
The Speed-up round gave all four contestants the chance to rack up points quickly. The results were as follows: Ba Long with 50 points, Hoang Quang with 120 points, Viet Khue with 150 points, and Vinh Trong in the lead with 185 points.
As the top scorer, Vinh Trong chose a set of three 20-point questions in the Finish round. He only answered one correctly, ending his turn with 185 points.
Viet Khue also picked a set of three 20-point questions but failed to give the correct answer for any of them, finishing with 170 points.
Hoang Quang chose a 20-30-20 package. He missed two questions, and in the second, Viet Khue rang the bell to steal 30 points. The Thanh Hoa schoolboy then placed his Hope Star on the final question, answered it correctly, and finished with 150 points.
The last to go was Ba Long, who selected three 30-point questions but failed to answer any correctly. Meanwhile, Vinh Trong repeatedly seized the chance to score from these questions, raising his total to 215 points.
With 215 points, Nguyen Vinh Trong convincingly secured the laurel wreath in this week’s Road to Olympia Mount, marking a proud achievement for the student from Dong Thap.
