Vietnam Television (VTV) will air the 30-minute documentary One Year of Reshaping the Nation - Leaner, Closer , More Effective State Apparatus at 8:10 PM on July 1 on VTV1.
Under the leadership of the Communist Party, Vietnam’s 40-year Doi Moi (Renewal) journey has yielded remarkable progress over the past 40 years of renewal. The nation's economic strength, national standing, and international reputation are now stronger than ever. However, as the country enters a new stage of development, achieving its 2030 goals and its 2045 vision requires a new development model and approach to governance, as well as a leaner, more effective state apparatus.
This massive administrative reshuffle is the largest in the country's history. Remarkably, Vietnam has managed this enormous workload and its wide-ranging reshuffle without disrupting public services or fracturing political consensus across the Party and society. Few developing countries have been able to carry out such a large-scale governance reforms in such a short period while ensuring stable and effective operations throughout the process.
Completing the restructuring and streamlining of the state apparatus ahead of Party congresses at all levels has also provided an important political and legal foundation for personnel preparations and the successful organization of local Party congresses and ultimately, the 14th National Party Congress.
One year on, the focus has shifted from completing the restructuring to ensuring the new system operates effectively. To maximize the impact of these reforms and support economic development, the new governance model will continue to be reviewed, refined, and improved to better adapt to national demands. The goal is to build a government that is even leaner, more professional, and more responsive to the people. Reforms are expected to affect every administrative procedure, every public service, and every decision that concerns citizens and businesses, helping unlock resources and boost productivity across the economy.
Provincial and municipal newspapers, as well as radio, and television networks are invited to simulcast the documentary. News organizations may also publish and distribute it through their online news platforms and digital channels with support from VTV:
