Difficulties awaits Vietnam's rice exports at year-end

This year, rice production of nearly all rice-exporting countries have increased compared to last year, so there is unlikely to be any sudden changes in the market. Therefore, the Department of Agro-product Processing and Market Development advised businesses to actively promote the expansion of export markets and continue to improve the quality of rice to target high value market segments.

It is estimated that to maintain the market position, low-grade rice should not exceed 20% in the export structure.
